Sketches is a collection of (mostly) shorter ambient experiments, centred on the process of composition through deliberate limitations and restrictions as part of the creative approach. Examples include using only mobile phone applications as the primary sound source or working with a specific hardware synthesiser. While my Places album focused on organic sounds and field recordings, Sketches embraces a more electronic and otherworldly sound palette.

A collection of ambient works composed by Nick May. These pieces started life as a series of field recordings, then musical compositions were built around these foundations. The album is peaceful and focuses on the sounds of nature, yet contrasting electronic tones and industrial sounds represent more urban landscapes.

"Digital Wilderness - Part One" has been mostly composed and produced during Covid 19 lockdowns. Some tracks feature ambient recordings, recorded during the eerie quiet of lockdown. Digital Wilderness attempts to combine the sonic worlds of nature and digital music production through an eclectic collection of compositions.
